Job Description:

Step into a high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery role supporting high acuity births in Seattle, Washington. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30), delivering care with advanced electronic fetal monitoring workflows in a unit built for momentum—around 15 deliveries per day and 500–600 deliveries per month.

In this assignment, you’ll function as the “Baby Nurse” during delivery, continuing newborn care until transfer to post partum. Expect to circulate and perform required newborn responsibilities, including eyes/thighs assessment and newborn care tasks, as well as heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate related support. You’ll also provide vitamin K injections where required. This is a fast-paced, detail-forward environment with 4 ORs and a steady flow of diverse L&D cases, including high-risk needs tied to midwifery clients, private OBs, adult recovery services support, and community care clinic activity.

This is a 13-week travel contract where strong L&D experience matters. Candidates must have at least 3–5 years of experience (no exceptions), current Nursys proof with submission, and current supervisory references. Swedes with active compact licensing are honored; local candidates at the same rate are considered.
