Job Description:

Join the team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital as a Medical-Surgical RN on a 13-week night shift contract. This role places you on the 3rd floor, where you’ll work alongside a dedicated staff caring for orthopedic and bariatric patients. Your typical shift runs 12 hours overnight, with a patient ratio of 5-6:1, giving you the chance to hone your skills in a fast-paced environment that demands both technical proficiency and teamwork. Expect opportunities to perform procedures related to orthopedic surgeries, including knees, hips, shoulders, and cervical surgeries, while utilizing hospital equipment such as Hoyer lifts and CPM machines. The perfect candidate is someone with at least two years of Med Surg experience, ideally with orthopedic and bariatric backgrounds, who can collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and maintains a patient-focused attitude. Certification in BLS is required, and adherence to hospital dress code is expected.
