Job Description:

Join a travel healthcare team supporting a Medical Surgical Neuro unit in Boise, Idaho. This 12-hour nights contract focuses on neuroscience-driven workflow within a MedSurg setting, where you’ll handle common neuro conditions such as stroke, seizures, Guillain-Barré, Myasthenia Gravis, and spine/back or cranial surgery populations (with neuroscience support available 24/7 for neuro surgery and neurointervention cases). You’ll also support neuro intervention procedures and care needs related to nerve-accessing surgeries. With an average patient length of stay of 2–5 days, the pace is built for clinicians who like variety and have strong MedSurg or Tele background.

Shift hours are 7–7 nights, with scheduling managed by unit leadership and travelers placed where there is a need. Your contract also includes flexibility to float within the Treasure Valley Med-Surg areas—travelers float first. A brief orientation is provided (2 days plus a didactic day with the unit-based educator). Required certifications include BLS and NIHSS. If you’ve got 3+ years of MedSurg experience (stroke experience preferred) and are ready to contribute in one of the region’s key neuro surgery sites, this is your chance to own the night shift and be an essential part of the team’s neuro-focused day-to-day execution—without overcomplicating anything (and yes, Boise has good night air for that night-shift reset).
