Job Description:

This travel healthcare assignment places you in the T8 Trauma, Ortho, and Surgical unit at a busy hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. You’ll be working 12-hour days for 13 weeks, providing vital support in a fast-paced environment that handles complex post-op cases such as transplants, Whipple procedures, and trauma. Your role involves collaborating with charge nurses and participating in unit-specific skills labs, including Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes. The assignment offers a chance to hone your trauma and surgical skills while navigating a setting that demands high proficiency in sterile technique and patient safety protocols. Expect to work on observation, VMU, and telemetry units, with some floating across different specialized areas. The schedule includes weekend shifts, holiday rotations, and a focus on maintaining sterile fields and clinical competencies.
