Job Description:

Join a prestigious ICU team for a 13-week travel assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. As an ICU RN, you'll work in a mixed-unit environment divided into pods, caring for complex patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, trauma, and post-surgical cases. The role demands a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel, with expertise in ventilator management, hemodynamic lines, proning, and IV medication administration. The shift consists of 12-hour days, with a weekly commitment of 48 hours. You'll be responsible for managing high-acuity patients requiring bedside care, with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC are required, along with experience in Epic electronic health record systems. This assignment offers a chance to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with support from dedicated staff members and opportunities to precept students. Note that travelers must have prior ICU travel experience and live at least 100 miles from any Monument Health facility.
