Job Description:

Join our team as an ICU RN for a 13-week nights-shift contract at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL. In this role, you'll provide critical care in a 7-bed ICU, managing a patient ratio of 2:1. Your responsibilities will include monitoring critically ill patients, performing charting in EPIC, and supporting the nursing staff with various critical procedures. Flexibility is valued, as you may be called upon to float to the ER or Med-Surg units, with orientation support provided for new clinical areas. This assignment offers the unique chance to lead during overnight hours, acting as a resource for staff and possibly stepping in as a House Supervisor when needed. You’ll work nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., ensuring consistent set hours over the 13-week span. Job Specifics:

Location: Mount Vernon, Illinois
Shift: 12-hour nights (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
Duration: 13 weeks, with guaranteed hours of 48 per week (except during holidays or unit closures). No on-call required, but callbacks may require arriving within one hour. The unit operates with a 2:1 patient ratio in a 7-bed ICU setting. Orientation involves a few shifts with the current supervisor, and float opportunities may include the ER or Med-Surg units to provide versatile experience.
