Job Description:

This travel contract offers an engaging opportunity to work as a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, Maine. You will be responsible for providing specialized care to trauma, neuro, cardiac, and medical/surgical patients, including those on ventilators, with drips, or post-procedure. The role involves direct patient monitoring, performing neuro checks, managing complex IV therapy, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Unique aspects of this assignment include exposure to a wide variety of patient conditions, a mix of shift times, and the chance to hone trauma and neuro skills in a hospital with a dedicated air transport system for emergency cases.
