Job Description:

Join a busy Progressive Care Unit in Hilo, Hawaii, for a 13-week travel assignment that offers a chance to showcase your telemetry expertise. This role involves managing a 15-bed unit, including a mix of step-down ICU and telemetry monitoring. You'll be responsible for primary nursing care, reading telemetry strips, and performing fingerstick blood sugars, all while utilizing Meditech charting, Pyxis medication systems, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment. The shift is scheduled for 36 hours per week following orientation, with no guarantee of hours or call, providing a predictable schedule amidst the island’s scenic surroundings. To qualify, you need at least one year of recent hospital acute care experience, with telemetry and progressive care backgrounds highly preferred—and current Hawaii licensure required by the start of the assignment.
