Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract offers RN professionals an opportunity to work in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) that specializes in adult patients, including cardiac and stroke cases. You'll be scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours. The role involves managing a variety of duties such as titrating drips like Heparin and insulin, interpreting telemetry monitors, and collaborating with charge nurses and patient care techs. The unit operates with a high patient turnover, requiring nurses to stay adaptable and maintain a positive team spirit amidst frequent admissions and discharges. All necessary resources are provided for the open-book skills exam during orientation, which must be passed with at least 90%. This assignment is perfect for an RN eager to hone critical skills in a challenging yet supportive environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
