Job Description:
This ER Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department serving adolescents through geriatrics. You'll be responsible for managing a busy patient flow within a large, non-trauma ER that sees around 165-175 patients daily. The shift is a 12-hour midschedule (from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM), providing an excellent chance to focus on acute care, stroke, and STEMI cases using Epic and Pyxis systems. This assignment is distinct because of the high-acuity environment and the chance to handle diverse cases, all while wearing navy blue scrubs, and working with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Expect to be part of a challenging yet rewarding team, with a maximum 7-day RTO window and coverage for major holidays as outlined. Experience in similar settings and current BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications are required to ensure readiness for this role.
Weather:
During this time of year, the weather typically features mild to warm temperatures with plenty of sunshine. Humidity levels are moderate, making for comfortable outdoor activities and a generally pleasant climate.
Fun Things To Do:
- Historical Tour: Explore local landmarks and historic districts to immerse yourself in the city’s past.
- River Walk: Enjoy a scenic stroll along the riverfront, perfect for relaxing or people-watching.
