Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract places you at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, working 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including every other weekend. You'll be stepping into a fast-paced neuro medical-surgical unit specializing in higher acuity cases such as stroke, seizures, post-operative neuro surgeries, and Level 2 trauma patients, with some Level 1 trauma post-ICU care as well. Expect to handle a patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1, performing comprehensive neuro assessments, managing drains, and providing post-surgical care. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, and be prepared to float across med-surg and telemetry units. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (which can be obtained during orientation). This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your neurocritical care skills in a busy hospital setting.
