Job Description:

Join a respected Level I trauma center in Springfield as an Orthopedic Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract. This role involves working three 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) on a 38-bed acute care unit specializing in orthopedic care. The position offers an engaging opportunity to manage PICC lines, start IVs, and work with telemetry, utilizing Cerner charting software. While experience in telemetry and IV therapy is preferred, first-timers with at least two years of RN experience are welcome. Expect to float within the medical-surgical scope to other departments as needed, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. This assignment is perfect for those seeking a hands-on orthopedics experience in a Magnet facility with a Level I trauma designation. The hospital requires Illinois licensure prior to start and does not accept pending licenses. Candidates should be prepared for possible cancellations up to 36 hours per assignment, with opportunity for on-call shifts in lieu of canceled hours.
