Job Description:

Join our team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves working ten-hour night shifts, providing an exciting opportunity to support a Level I trauma center with a busy OR environment. You’ll be responsible for a variety of surgical cases, including general, trauma, orthopedic, neurology, and plastic surgeries, with some specialized procedures like microvascular flaps and organ donation. This position demands at least three years of experience, with a focus on trauma and general surgery, and requires active IL licensure or application in process. Certification in BLS is mandatory, and CNOR is preferred. The role offers a steady schedule of 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities once a week, allowing you to gain valuable exposure in a high-acuity setting while enjoying a manageable work/life balance. Your work will involve coordinating with the surgical team, ensuring equipment readiness, and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.
