Job Description:

Join the team in the Progressive Care Unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, for an 13-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role is perfect for skilled healthcare professionals with a background in neuro and trauma care, ready to handle a variety of procedures like neuro and spinal checks, chest tube management, PCA pump infusions, and blood transfusions. You'll work alongside a dedicated staff in a 44-bed facility, engaging with advanced equipment and electronic medical records systems (Cerner). Expect to work a busy but rewarding schedule with a patient ratio of approximately 4:1, stretching to 5:1 during certain shifts, and coverage every other weekend. This assignment offers an opportunity to deepen your specialized skills in a hospital setting focused on critical and acute care without direct patient care responsibilities. Your expertise with certifications like ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
