Job Description:

This registered nurse position in a 34-bed medical/surgical unit offers a chance to work with a varied patient population, including post-operative, observation, and medical patients such as those with CHF, diabetes, COPD, and more. You'll be on night shifts, working 12-hour overnight hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), immersing yourself in a fast-paced environment where telemetry monitoring is handled by technicians, allowing you to focus on procedural skills like IV insertion, wound care, and managing central lines. The role includes support from CNAs, a unit secretary, and in-house hospitalists and RTs. With a flexible schedule that only occasionally involves back-to-back weekends and a rotation for holidays, this contract provides an engaging yet manageable work experience.
