Job Description:

Join a travel contract as a Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Tele/Neuro/Stroke unit in Chesapeake, Virginia—close to both Virginia Beach and Norfolk. This assignment focuses on telemetry and stroke/neurology experience, with work that keeps you engaged through ongoing monitoring and neuro-stroke workflow. You’ll be scheduled for 12-hour nights with either 3x12 or 4x12 shifts (overtime after 48 hours), and you can expect occasional EOW coverage, floating within the contract as needed, and holiday shifts as scheduled.

To be successful here, you must be an experienced MS/Tele RN with at least 2 years of relevant background, travel experience required, and proven work with neurology/stroke patients within the last 2 years. EPIC proficiency is required (no exceptions). Required certifications include BLS and ACLS via American Heart Association, plus NIHSS. Telemetry interpretation and IV starts are essential parts of the role.

Expect comfortably cool evenings with mild daytime temperatures and occasional coastal breezes. Rain is possible, so layers and a light waterproof layer are helpful when you’re heading out after your shift.
