Job Description:

Seeking a registered nurse with NICU experience for a 13-week travel contract at a busy Level 2 NICU in Austin, Texas. This role involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours. The unit cares for a mix of 9 to 15 infants, with patient ratios typically around 1:2 or 1:3, and occasionally 1:1 for high-acuity cases. You will be responsible for assisting with complex procedures such as UVC placements, surfactant administration, and lumbar punctures, as well as admits and lab draws. The environment features advanced respiratory support equipment like SiPAP and CPAP, and employs Meditech EMR.
