Job Description:

Join our team as a telemetry RN for a 13-week contract at a reputable hospital in Nampa, Idaho. This shift features 12-hour night schedules from 7 PM to 7 AM, offering a unique chance to experience the quieter, more reflective hours on a busy telemetry unit. You'll be working with patients suffering from conditions such as heart failure, COPD, and stroke, with a patient ratio of 1:4. The role requires prior experience of at least one year and comfort with a team nursing model where experienced RNs can take on lead duties. You’ll help within a unit that promotes teamwork, with supportive staff including CNAs and Tele Techs. Medication administration involves setting drop rates for medications like Heparin and Amiodarone, and you’ll engage in monitoring, signing off strips, and coordinating patient care amidst collaborative efforts. The telemetry unit is designed for efficient patient management, and you’ll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, yet team-oriented environment, with a focus on patient stability and safety. No float to care units is required beyond the MedSurg area, but flexibility to float to other Tele units is part of the process. The facility appreciates professional appearance with any clean, neat attire and provides one to two days of orientation to ensure a smooth transition into this team.
