Job Description:

Join us as a Step Down Registered Nurse on the 7th Floor Intermediate unit, where you'll play a vital role in managing patients with diverse cardiac conditions. This role requires proficiency in reading and reacting to cardiac rhythms, as well as experience with telemetry and cardiac/stroke patient care. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday, providing critical care while ensuring patient safety. The assignment offers a guaranteed 36 hours weekly over 13 weeks and an opportunity to refine your skills in a specialized, fast-paced environment. You may be required to float within scope to similar units, and active licenses outside 50 miles are accepted, with new travelers encouraged to apply. Expect exposure to various cardiac drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix, along with beds equipped for hemodialysis and multiple modes of oxygenation, excluding vents. This unique assignment will challenge your clinical expertise and offer meaningful experiences in acute cardiac care.
