Job Description:

Join a dedicated Cardio Thoracic unit in Peoria, IL, for a 26-week travel nursing assignment focused on high-acuity cardiac patients. You will be responsible for interpreting EKGs, titrating medications like Heparin and Cardizem, and managing chest tubes post-surgery. With 12-hour day shifts, you'll experience a blend of intense patient monitoring and collaborative team efforts. This role offers an opportunity to further develop your skills in a specialized cardiovascular setting, working alongside experienced charge nurses and PCTs, while the unit handles a variety of cardiac diagnoses including MI, CHF, and arrhythmias. Your expertise in basic nursing skills, BLS certification, and ability to interpret telemonitor strips are essential to providing top-notch patient care in this fast-paced environment.
