Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you in the Medical Acute Care Unit of a busy hospital in Peoria, Illinois. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, providing crucial support on a general medical floor with 20 beds. Your role involves managing patient needs in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team that includes charge nurses, house supervisors, PCTs, and telemetry techs. The unit expects strong teamwork and communication skills, with experience in general medical units being essential. During this assignment, you will engage in tasks typical for an RN on a medical-surgical floor, including monitoring telemetry, participating in patient assessments, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The schedule includes every other weekend and three holidays, with some flexibility depending on staffing needs. The orientation involves 12 hours of non-billable training to prepare you for this unique setting.
