Job Description:

Join the team at Carlsbad Medical Center as a Medical-Surgical RN for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work 12-hour daytime shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, floating across the general Med/Surg inpatient unit. This role involves managing a patient ratio of 1:6 and performing a variety of nursing duties, including medication administration and patient monitoring. You may handle occasional non-critical pediatric patients and will be expected to adapt to MedHost electronic medical records. No on-call schedule is associated with this role, except for census flex on-call prior to shifts during low census periods. Experience of at least 2 years and BLS certification are required; ACLS and PALS are preferred. All travelers must have fingerprint clearance required by New Mexico, with approval for auto-offers only—no interviews. This assignment offers an engaging, fast-paced environment focused on delivering quality inpatient care in a supportive setting.
