Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers a unique chance to work as an MS-Tele Nurse in a multi-unit float pool across various specialties, including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation. You'll be handling adult and geriatric patients, managing diagnoses ranging from post-surgical recoveries to chronic conditions. The role involves navigating different unit environments, with the opportunity to experience diverse clinical scenarios. Expect to cover 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week period, with a committed weekly schedule of 36 hours. The position emphasizes flexibility, requiring you to adapt to different unit assignments, including occasional float into ICU, PCU, or Stepdown units. Prior neuro experience and at least two years of MS-Tele experience are preferred, along with certifications in BLS and ACLS. You will collaborate with designated charge nurses, often working independently unless patient acuity demands additional support. The environment is fast-paced but rewarding, offering chances to develop a broad skill set in tele. The hospital provides 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor to help you hit the ground running.
