Job Description:

This labor and delivery (L&D) nursing role offers an engaging opportunity to work within a dedicated obstetric unit that handles a range of cases from routine deliveries to high-risk pregnancies. You will be responsible for managing patients during 12-hour night shifts, providing care for mothers and delivering babies in a setting equipped with two operating rooms and various monitoring tools. The assignment emphasizes hands-on experience with C-section procedures, fetal monitoring, and managing multiple births, creating an ideal environment for seasoned labor nurses seeking to deepen their expertise while maintaining a balanced schedule. The unit values teamwork and offers a collaborative atmosphere, sharing responsibilities among charge and staff nurses, while supporting advanced certifications like BLS, NRP, and ACLS. Expect to engage in both immediate postpartum care and deliveries down to 23 weeks gestation while working in a hospital renowned for its focus on maternal health.
