Job Description:

This RN contract position in Boise, Idaho, places you on the MedSurg - Floor 5 unit, where you'll work 12-hour day shifts for 13 weeks. You'll be caring for a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, ENT, facial reconstruction, epilepsy, and general medical-surgical cases. Your responsibilities will involve managing patients with trauma fractures, post-surgical recoveries, and staying alert to high-acuity cases such as sepsis and respiratory support. Expect a collaborative environment supported by charge nurses, assistant managers, and a unit educator, with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on most days. The unit's focus on learning makes it ideal for experienced RNs eager to expand their skills in a busy, multifaceted setting. This assignment offers the chance to experience a mix of routine and specialized patient care with just one day of orientation, all while working in a professional and supportive team that values questions and continuous improvement.
