Job Description:

Join a highly regarded Labor & Delivery unit with a Level 3 NICU in Rapid City, SD, for a 13-week travel assignment. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse range of high-risk and low-intervention obstetric cases, including antepartum, active labor, postpartum, and newborn care. You'll work in a 10-bed L&D unit supported by skilled staff and advanced technology, including electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC charting. The shift comprises 12-hour nights and days, with a schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday responsibilities. You'll be expected to manage high-acuity patients such as preeclampsia and preterm labor, as well as newborns in the Level 2 nursery. An emphasis is placed on teamwork, with support from a multidisciplinary staff including OB physicians, anesthesia, and tech teams. This contract is ideal for RNs with at least 2 years of L&D experience, who are comfortable caring for both normal and complex deliveries, and can precept students if needed. Whether you're experienced with high-risk cases or eager to broaden your skills, this assignment offers a rewarding and hands-on experience in a vibrant setting.
