Job Description:

This 13-week contract position in a fast-paced stepdown unit is perfect for experienced RNs eager to showcase their skills in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for managing complex cases such as heart failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory distress, and stroke. Your duties will include titrating drips like Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro, interpreting tele monitors, and collaborating with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure smooth patient flow. Expect a shift schedule of 12-hour nights from 1830 to 0700, with every other weekend and holiday rotations. The role requires quick thinking, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach. Candidates must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation, with all necessary resources provided, and a minimum score of 90% to continue.
