Job Description:

Join this pediatric psychiatric facility in Bangor, Maine, as a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. The role involves providing traditional medical and psychiatric care to patients aged 5-18 and adults 18+ with diagnoses such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, with a focus on de-escalation techniques, medication passes, group facilitation, and documentation. While experience with pediatric behavioral health is preferred, first-time travelers are welcome. Be prepared to float between pediatric and adult units as needed, with ongoing support from an engaged management team. This setting offers a variety of therapies and a chance to hone crisis intervention skills in a secure, structured environment.
