Job Description:

This RN position in the psychiatric unit at Mercy Hospital South offers a focused, six-hour nightly shift that runs from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, lasting 13 weeks. You will be hands-on with adult and geriatric patients, managing behavioral health needs alongside medical comorbidities. Your responsibilities include assessing, planning, and coordinating patient care, utilizing equipment like sit-to-stand lifts and restraints, all within the EPIC electronic medical record system. The role requires a minimum of one year of psychiatric nursing experience and current BLS certification. Prepare for an environment where teamwork, attention to safety, and compassion are essential, and enjoy a setting that emphasizes specialized behavioral health care without the routine of patient care but with plenty of interaction and critical thinking.
