Job Description:

This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced healthcare professionals prepared to work in a fast-paced emergency department setting. You will be providing critical support in an ER that manages a wide age range, from pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma cases and neuro trauma. Your responsibilities will encompass monitoring patients via central telemetry, assisting with patient flow, supporting the charge nurse, and performing essential procedures with minimal direct patient care involved. The assignment requires adherence to specific protocols such as Meditech EMR documentation, timely completion of Orientation and Rapid Training (ORT), and following safety procedures including seclusion room management and behavioral lockdown protocols. Expect a six-bed behavioral unit staffed by psych personnel, with a typical daily patient visit volume of approximately 180-200. The shift is 12 hours, primarily mid-shifts, with a commitment of 48 hours weekly over 17 weeks. Successful candidates will bring at least five years of experience, have current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI or NIHSS, and possess Meditech experience.
