Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers an engaging opportunity to work on a fast-paced Step-Down/MedSurg unit at a hospital’s main campus in Asheville, North Carolina. You'll be responsible for managing patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders for admitted patients arriving from the ED. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, with a typical weekly commitment of 36 hours, and requires a seasoned healthcare professional with at least 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry, or Step-Down experience. Your positive attitude and teamwork spirit will help ensure patient safety and smooth clinical operations, especially in a unit focused on ED decompression and throughput. Floating to other units within your skill set is expected, and advanced skills like charge nurse experience are appreciated but not mandatory. This assignment immerses you in a clinical environment leveraging Cerner documentation and Baxter IV pumps, with opportunities to contribute to a high-functioning team dedicated to patient flow efficiency and quality care.
