Job Description:

This ICU registered nurse contract offers an engaging opportunity to work within a mixed-unit ICU that includes MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods, all under one roof. You will be responsible for caring for complex ICU patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, trauma, and post-surgical cases. Your role involves managing ventilators, hemodynamic lines, and IV medications like vasopressors and sedation, often in a fast-paced setting. While experience in cardiac procedures, such as CABG or TAVR, is preferred, the focus is on critical thinking and assessment skills. The shift is 12 hours per day, with an average of 48 hours per week, and the assignment lasts for 15 weeks. This position demands prior ICU experience—travel or not—excluding first-time travelers. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses, resource nurses, phlebotomists, RTs, and physicians, supporting complex patient needs with a patient-to-nurse ratio often ranging from 1:1 to 1:3.
