Job Description:

Join our team as a MedSurg RN on a 22-week travel contract in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You'll cover 12-hour night shifts, providing essential medical and surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population. This assignment offers the opportunity to work with complex cases, such as managing chronic illnesses like COPD, Diabetes, CHF, infections, neurological conditions, and mental health disorders. You'll perform assessments, care planning, and procedures including wound care, IV therapy, and medication management while utilizing Epic electronic records and advanced equipment. The role includes a flexible call-off policy allowing 24 hours’ notice per 13-week cycle, and non-billable orientation hours to get you acclimated. Experience at a large hospital (450+ beds) with a minimum of 1.5 years in a similar setting is required, along with active IN license or compact license, BLS certification, and specific skills in MedSurg procedures. This is a fast-paced unit where floating to other medical units may be necessary, with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6.
