Job Description:

This travel RN position in MedSurg/Telemetry at a prominent academic medical center in Winston-Salem offers a unique opportunity to work on a fast-paced 5C unit with a variety of patient diagnoses, including respiratory, GI, neuro, trauma, and cardiac cases. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, providing a chance to experience nightly routines and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team. Expect to interpret cardiac rhythms, manage surgical drains, and learn new skills like handling TR bands and medication management. The role includes supporting a team with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, while gaining exposure to complex wound care, external fixators, chest tubes, and trachs. This assignment emphasizes hands-on experience in a teaching hospital environment, perfect for traveling professionals with a minimum of one year Med/Surg experience, and a readiness to adapt to the departmental culture.
