Job Description:

This CVICU Registered Nurse role offers a hands-on experience in a fast-paced cardiac intensive care setting. You'll be responsible for caring for post-operative open heart patients—including those with ventricular assist devices, chest tubes, and complex medical needs—during 12-hour night shifts. The position requires maintaining a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, with flexibility for floating to other ICU areas such as PACU, ED, and IMC units. If you have at least two years of current CVICU experience and are comfortable working with advanced devices like Impella, IABP, and CRRT, this assignment may be a perfect fit. First-time travelers are encouraged to apply, and standard certifications like BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory. You'll be part of a team managing fresh heart cases such as CABG, MVR, and AVR, with responsibilities that include post-op recovery, managing Swan-Ganz catheters, and handling chest tubes.
