Job Description:

Join our team as a CVICU Registered Nurse for a 14-week travel contract at a specialized cardiovascular intensive care unit located in Augusta, Georgia. You will be caring for adult to geriatric patients who have undergone procedures such as LVAD placements, balloon pump insertions, and AAA repairs. This role involves managing complex hemodynamics, titrating cardiac medications, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team during daily rounds. The unit features a 10-bed capacity with an average census of seven, and nurses typically handle two patients per shift. You'll work 12-hour day shifts in a well-equipped environment using Epic and Pyxis systems, with a navy-blue scrub code. Communication and teamwork are essential in this setting, which has a focus on high-risk cardiovascular care.
