Job Description:

This 20-week travel contract in Winston-Salem, NC, offers registered nurses the opportunity to work in a Stepdown/ICU-like PCU unit that functions more like an ICU, with a focus on monitoring and managing complex cases. The setting requires experience with arterial lines, vasoactive drips, telemetry interpretation, and rapid response protocols. The role involves a consistent 12-hour day shift (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM), with floating responsibilities to a sister ICU unit as needed. Expect a quick-paced environment where nurses handle patients with respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, and post-op conditions, including surgeries like neuro, ortho, GYN, and GI. This assignment emphasizes independence and proficiency in managing various invasive procedures, pressor drips, and telemetry equipment, making it ideal for nurses ready to step into a challenging yet rewarding role.
