Job Description:

Join our team as a Pre-Admission Services Registered Nurse in Hermiston, OR, and bring your expertise to a pivotal role that ensures surgical patients are thoroughly prepared for their procedures. This contract position involves conducting comprehensive pre-operative assessments via phone and in-person, evaluating medical histories, medications, and risks to support optimal surgical outcomes. You'll collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and the perioperative team to streamline patient workflows, document assessments in Epic, and provide tailored patient education. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence patient safety and surgical success while working primarily during daytime hours with scheduled shifts of 10 hours across Wednesdays through Saturdays for 13 weeks. The position combines clinical assessment skills with effective communication, all in a supportive team environment, ensuring patients are confidently ready for their surgical journey.
