Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in the Family Birthing Center at a facility in Grass Valley, California. You will work 12-hour night shifts, providing support during the overnight hours in a unit that typically handles about 45 deliveries per month. Your responsibilities include assisting with standard labor and delivery procedures, managing patients with term and preterm pregnancies, and supporting newborns requiring short-term interventions such as oxygen or IV antibiotics. You will work alongside a team of two RNs and one RT during deliveries, with a focus on emergency preparedness and independent decision-making. The role emphasizes handling high-pressure situations with confidence, while offering the opportunity to experience a vibrant maternal health environment away from resource limitations often found during night shifts. Orientation is conducted on-site in Sacramento, with a focus on familiarizing you with the unit's protocols and workflow.
