Job Description:

This 13-week assignment seeks an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join a bustling hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves working 10-hour days, primarily circulating and scrubbing in various surgical cases including general, trauma, pediatric, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular. You’ll have the opportunity to work with advanced robotic systems like da Vinci and gain experience in high-stakes trauma settings. The schedule requires working 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed, ensuring a busy, engaging work environment. The hospital values prior operating room experience with specific case types and familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical system. This assignment combines fast-paced surgical procedures with the chance to hone specialized skills, all within a supportive team atmosphere.
