Job Description:

Join an important transplant unit as a Registered Nurse specializing in medical surgical and solid organ transplant care. This 36-bed unit handles adult pre and post liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplant patients, providing essential care with a mix of telemetry and progressive support. Attention to detail is key, as you'll be managing drips across various floors, collaborating with care techs, paramedics, and other team members. Flexibility to float within the hospital to other units like Neuro, Trauma, or Recovery is required, offering a chance to experience diverse aspects of patient care. Expect a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, with the opportunity for a 36 or 48-hour workweek over 13 weeks. This assignment is best suited for experienced RNs with a background in large, urban hospital settings who are prepared for frequent floating and a fast-paced environment. Please note, first-time travelers are not accepted unless they have at least two years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center. The role emphasizes accurate EPIC charting, responding to complex clinical situations, and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
