Job Description:

Join a skilled neuro medical/surgical unit in South Austin that’s looking for a dedicated RN to cover night shifts in a fast-paced environment. This 13-week contract offers 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing an opportunity to experience the vibrant Austin scene while making a meaningful impact in patient care. You’ll be working with a team of professionals on a unit with 30 beds, caring for a diverse patient population using advanced equipment like Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, Telepsych systems, and EMR software. Your daily tasks will focus on monitoring neurological and medical-surgical patients, performing procedures such as stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, and wound care, all while integrating into a collaborative team that values self-motivation and teamwork.
