Join our team for a 22-week travel contract in Fort Wayne, IN, working 12-hour night shifts on a busy medical-surgical unit. This role offers an engaging opportunity to care for a diverse patient population recovering from various chronic and acute conditions, including COPD, CHF, infections, neurological impairments, and mental health disorders. The fast-paced setting demands skilled assessment, care planning, and proficiency with equipment like IV pumps, wound vacs, and telemetry monitors. You'll experience a full orientation process, including hospital and Epic training, preparing you for a smooth transition into this rewarding clinical environment. Job Specifics:

Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: 12-hour nights
Duration: 22 weeks, approximately 36 hours per week
This role involves floating within medical-surgical units, caring for a broad spectrum of patients with varying diagnoses. The position includes a comprehensive orientation program with hospital and Epic training to ensure you are ready for the fast-paced environment. Expect patient ratios of 1:5-6, with opportunities to work on procedures like IV management, wound care, and monitoring complex equipment. A valid Indiana or compact RN license and BLS certification are required, along with at least 1.5 years of recent MedSurg experience at a similar-sized facility. Weekend shifts are included as part of the schedule, and you'll be expected to adapt quickly to different units within the hospital.
