Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract places you as an MS RN specializing in orthopedic medical-surgical care during overnight shifts. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, providing care to a diverse patient population on a 32-bed unit that is expanding to 37 beds. The role involves managing a mix of medical and surgical cases—handling IV therapies, wound care, Heparin infusions, and post-surgical assessments—without a heavy focus on cardiac conditions. Expect to work with EPIC charting systems and participate in cross-campus float requirements, offering variety within your routine. This assignment offers a chance to experience a hospital with a strong team environment led by experienced charge nurses, and you'll have the opportunity to precept students or new nurses as needed. The position requires current active compact license, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with at least two years of solid Med/Surg experience and trauma level II background preferred. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week, with the possibility of accepting 48-hour weeks, and overtime begins after 52 hours on a 48-hour schedule.
