Job Description:

This travel assignment calls for an experienced RN to float across various medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units during 12-hour night shifts. You will navigate a mix of patient loads and procedures, utilizing Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes. Flexibility is key as you shift between units like Medical, Laulima, and occasionally Cardiovascular. The role involves supporting patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio that varies from 1:4 to 1:8, depending on the unit and staffing needs. You should bring between 2 to 10 years of nursing experience, hold BLS certification, and ideally possess ACLS (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are a bonus). A Hawaii RN license is required before starting, and you will be expected to adapt to the specific orientation programs provided for each unit. The scheduled 36 hours per week promise a consistent night schedule, but hours are not guaranteed beyond that. Whether floating to different units or working the night shift, your versatility will be appreciated in this fast-paced environment that ensures you stay sharp and engaged.
