Job Description:

This contract opportunity in Hilo, Hawaii, offers RN travelers the chance to float across various medical and surgical units during overnight 12-hour shifts. You'll be working in a vibrant environment with a mix of medical, Laulima surgical, and occasional cardiovascular units, utilizing Meditech EMR, pyxis systems, wound vacs, and chest tubes. The role involves adapting quickly to different patient needs, up to a 1:8 nurse-to-patient ratio at night, and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. Candidates must hold, or obtain upon acceptance, an active Hawaii license and current BLS, with ACLS preferred. This position provides orientation for each unit, ensuring you're well-prepared to handle diverse responsibilities on a flexible schedule that varies week by week.
