Job Description:

This 26-week travel contract places you in a busy cardiac unit in Chandler, AZ, working 12-hour night shifts. You'll be managing a telemetry unit with 29 private rooms, interpreting cardiac strips, monitoring rhythms, and managing drips such as Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Cardizem. The role emphasizes cardiac monitoring proficiency, requiring current EKG skills and the ability to manage remote monitor tech data. You'll complete a clinical interview and pass a dysrhythmia exam via UNA shortly after your offer. Expect to be involved in managing renal, GI, sepsis, and mental health cases, and to work in a collaborative environment with remote monitor techs and nurses aides on day shift. Self-scheduling allows flexible shift placement, including holiday and weekend rotations, with required standby shifts. All staff wear navy blue scrubs and must provide valid driver’s license. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to refine advanced cardiac skills within a high-acuity setting, with staff often returning for additional assignments or joining as permanent team members.
