Job Description:

This RN role places you in the fast-paced Post Surgical Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where you'll be part of a team providing crucial post-operative recovery services to adult and geriatric patients following various surgical procedures. Working 12-hour days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., you'll handle an average of 10-15 new admissions daily, supporting patients through recovery in a 40-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4 or 1:5. Your responsibilities include managing post-surgical care, utilizing Epic EMR and medication scanning rovers, and operating Alaris pumps. The assignment offers an engaging blend of multi-tasking and prioritization amid a hectic, high-occupancy environment, with the opportunity to work in a unit that values teamwork and efficiency. Notably, this contract is eligible for low census hours, allowing flexibility to work only 4 or 8 hours during low census periods, without being considered on call. Prior travel experience, trauma level II expertise, and at least two years of Med Surg experience are required. Certification in WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC) are mandatory for submission. The role provides a competitive weekly gross pay of approximately $2,072.59, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over 13 weeks.
