Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you in the pediatric intensive care unit at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, OR. As a CVPICU RN working three 12-hour night shifts per week, you'll be involved in bedside procedures such as central line and arterial line placements, lumbar punctures, intubations, and ECMO cannulations. Your role demands precision in handling complex equipment including Hamilton ventilators, ICP monitors, and temperature management systems. This unique setting caters to critically ill children from birth to young adulthood, offering the chance to work closely with a dedicated team of pediatric intensivists and specialists, all within a family-centered environment. The position requires at least 2 years of experience, with first-timers accepted who meet the criteria, and requires certification in BLS and PALS, with NRP preferred. You'll have the opportunity to float to NICU and other pediatric units within the hospital, and must be available to work during at least two major winter holidays. The facility is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with 80 staffed beds, and the PICU team conducts hospital transports from surrounding states. The assignment offers a competitive weekly gross pay of approximately $2,430.07, with a commitment of 36 hours per week, making for an impactful and rewarding experience in a top-tier pediatric care environment.
