Job Description:

This 13-week contract places you on the Neuro and Telemetry unit at Deaconess IL Medical Center in Marion, IL, working 12-hour night shifts. You’ll support neuro-surgical patients, including those recovering from CVAs, back/neck surgeries, and cerebral angiograms, while also assisting with overflow general medical patients. The role involves performing detailed neuro assessments, utilizing EPIC charting, and managing complex needs with critical thinking and a resilient attitude. Float options to medical units are possible, and you'll be part of a dedicated team managing a 22-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. This assignment is a great fit for experienced nurses with strong neuro skills and a knack for handling a fast-paced environment with a touch of playfulness from working the night shift. Must have an active IL RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and at least two years of Med Surg/Tele experience, including recent EPIC charting.Note: Local candidates within a 40-mile radius are preferred, and COVID-19 vaccination is not required currently.
